Adobe acquires Day Software for $240 million

Switzerland-based software company Day Software has just been bought by Adobe for around $240 million (approx £154m). The deal looks set to strengthen the Adobe enterprise and add new content management software to its portfolio of software. Adobe Systems Inc. has announced that it will further secure its popular PDF Reader from attacks by adding “sandboxing” technology. The sandboxing process is well known for its use in Google’s Chrome browser. It isolates processes from one another and the rest of the machine, stopping malicious code from escaping an application and infecting the computer.
