What is the secret to a good gaming PC?
You want a PC that can handle the enormous demands placed on it by modern video games. These things aren’t just memory hungry they’re ravenous.
Dell has a solid reputation amongst gamers for its XPS range of laptop and desktops, but it really cemented its position recently by buying the legendary boutique gaming manufacturers known as Alienware.
What’s the difference between XPS and Alienware?
Alienware PCs are designed for gamers. They have enormously fast multiple CPUs and totally niche features like liquid cooling mechanisms and reinforced keypads to take the extra pressure from intense gaming situations.
Which is more expensive?

The Dell XPS range is a more affordable option. The XPS 625 starts at around £750 but will still give you enough muscle to reign supreme in cyberspace.
What hardware should I be looking for?
Alienware and XPS use Intel Core i7 or AMD Phenom II Black Edition processors and you will need at least 3GB RAM.
Processors are key for handling smooth graphics and executing commands swiftly, giving you an optimum gaming experience and an advantage over other gamers online. Video cards are also important, look for Dual graphics cards which effectively double your resources.
