Guide to McAfee Total Protection
Total Protection is McAfee’s top security package, protecting you from viruses and malware, with a firewall, parental controls, disk-defrag and strict anti-spam filters.
Scanning is now up to 8 times faster than previous Total Protection suites, according to McAfee, thanks to a smaller footprint and more selective scanning.
There’s a fully customisable parental controls system, so you can control your children’s online access and keep them safe online.
The disk defragmenter tool is a great piece of software which will clean up and consolidate information stored in your hard drive to make your computer run faster.
McAfee has also included the digital shredder which allows you to safely overwrite sensitive documents, as well as 2Gb of online storage.
McAfee SiteAdvisor Plus rates sites and links in emails and IM conversations (Messenger, Yahoo messenger and AIM) for safety.
It’s available to download as a one year subscription.
