Lenovo M Series
Lenovo are renowned for creating fast and reliable business geared PCs and the M Series is another winner.
This range of PC’s is ideal for a large business with its variety of towers and space saving Eco Ultra-Small Form Factor (Eco USFF) desktops.
Save money with the Lenovo M Series
They include the ThinkVantage® Power Manager which lets you remotely control and monitor energy use, saving you money on energy bills.
One of the best features of this model is its ThinkVantage Productivity Center which is paired with Intel® vPro™ technology, allowing you to monitor diagnose and repair your PC without physically tracking down each system.
The M51 and M52 models have a toolless entry design on the hard drive, floppy drive, optical devices and adapter cards making upgrading and repairs easy and ensuring a longer life for your system.
M Series PCs are also well equipped with connectivity ports, including eight high-speed USB 2.0 ports.
Some M Series PC’s appear quite pricey for a desktop with few design features and some of the older models look quite bulky.
This is an ideal range for a medium to large business as the system is sturdy and reliable with features that optimize productivity and save time and energy.
Lenovo A Series
The Think Centre A Series are budget desktops aimed at the small business market; for a small price tag they offer great reliability and performance.
The base package starts around £320 making it very affordable and for that you get a range of components that can handle what most small businesses throw at them; a lot of word processing, spread sheets, databases, email and internet browsing with ease.
Lenovo has put some thought into the needs of small businesses with a “toolless entry design”. Essentially on the A-Series models you can get into the case, hard drive, floppy drive, optical devices and adapter cards with ease. This makes upgrades easier, especially for companies without a dedicated IT tech.
There’s more versatility with Dual Independence Display (DID). The A Series desktops all support DID, enabling you to view up to four screens. Editing documents and opening different browser windows at the same time is all far easier with two screens.
Lenovo A Series – with small businesses in mind
Obviously they would struggle with games or media editing, with only Intel® Integrated Graphics X4500, but that’s not what they were built for.
With the A Series Lenovo have produced a great PC package for small businesses.
Lenovo ThinkPad X Series- Lenovo X301
The X301 is the sleekest ThinkPad yet weighing 1.5kg, depending on your battery choices, and measuring at 19mm thick.
It is built very much like its predecessor, the ThinkPad X300, with its 13.3-inch display and built-in DVD burner, but the real difference is on the inside. The X301 uses the latest ultra-low voltage Core 2 Duo SU9400 processor which creates a great compromise between performance and battery life.
The X301 has little touches that keep it a step above its competitors, such as the noise-cancelling digital microphone and a 1440×900-pixel resolution (sharper than a MacBook Air) shown on a matte screen.
It is very energy efficient, like most notebooks in the X Series, and has even achieved EPEAT™ Gold qualification and is ENERGY STAR™ 4.0 certified.
This ThinkPad comes at a premium price; if you include the add-ons such as the integrated DVD burner, extended-life six-cell battery and double the RAM, it ends up costing more than a MacBook Air.
The Lenovo X301 “sharper than the MacBook Air”
The Lenovo X301 is recommended for frequent travellers looking for an ultraportable laptop that does not compromise on its performance. It is lightweight, has plenty of storage and excellent battery life, which is extendable with add-on battery cells.
