Introducing the Dell Vostro V13
Rosie Khdir admires the latest contender in the featherweight fight for the title of most compact notebook, the Dell Vostro V13.
The new Vostro V13 notebook is the new ultra portable on the block and is an addition to Dell’s small business Vostro line of laptops.
It is the company’s first ultra thin and light model designed for the business sector and is very affordable for young businesses that are looking for portable notebooks.
The specs
The V13 has taken style tips from the Adamo, weighing in at just 1.59kg, is 0.65-inches thick with a 13- inch screen. It has a brushed aluminium shell with reinforced zinc hinges, giving it a stylish but tough exterior.
This machine is small but mighty and can support up to 4 GB of RAM and comes with either an Intel® Core™ 2 Solo or Core™ 2 Duo processor. The V13 boasts a 5 hour battery life, thanks to its sealed-in six-sell battery, and despite its minimalist appearance, features a full size keyboard.
Those who desire this skinny little wonder can upgrade and have 3G mobile broadband, a full data-encrypted hard drive and up to 500 Gb storage.
An ultra bargain!
This laptop is being called the twin of the Adamo, but where they do not compare is on price. The Vostro V13 is available from just £359 making it a very affordable business trip companion, perfect for any young entrepreneur.
