McAfee urges security industry to be proactive
After years of adopting a defensive approach to Internet security, usually placing protective shields around our PCs and networks, McAfee has decide that it’s time to take the gloves off.
“If we want to stop being victims, then the good guys need to advance security efforts as threats evolve.” said David Marcus, director of security research and communications for McAfee Labs.
This means a tougher more proactive approach to fighting cybercrime, involving global coordination of law enforcers and more aggressive counterattacks against the criminal gangs.
