Acer launches the world’s thinnest eco-friendly, LED monitors in the UK
Rosie Khdir takes a look at Acer’s new revolutionary PC monitors, the S1 Series, which claim to be the slimmest displays in the world varying from 13mm to 15mm in thickness.
These S1 displays come in four sizes, the 18.5, 20, 21 and 23 inch models and have beaten title holders Samsung for the label of thinnest LED monitor.
Not only do these display look stylish and streamlined, they are even eco-friendly, all sporting an EnergyStar 5.0 rating and are made without any hazardous substances such as halogen gases, mercury, PCV, BFR. They also consume up to 68 per cent less compared to traditional LCD screens.
The S1 Series offer up to full HD 1920×1080 pixel resolution and a contrast ratio of 12,000,000:1. They also boast a 5ms response time and have Acer’s eDisplay Management which provides advanced colour calibration and display management options.
These monitor are available now and prices range from £119.99 for the S191HQL rising to £169.99 for the S231HL.
