Adobe Flash 10.3 update for Android released
An update of the Adobe Flash player, the 10.3 version, has been issued for Windows, Mac OS and Android operating systems. The update comes with a security patch and aims to improve performance on mobile devices, especially Android handsets.
Users with tablets or smartphones running on one of the latest Android versions will be able to download the upgrade, which fixes some of the bugs that brought complaints the first time Flash was made available for Android devices. Flash cookies can now be managed via the browser’s privacy setting or a new control panel. Cookies will be manegeable for Firefox and Internet Explorer as of now, with Chrome and Safari still to come, according to Adobe.
Mac OS users will now also get automated software updates – before, users often lagged behind since update schedules were out of sync, according to an Adobe spokesperson.
