Apple iPad 3 to feature full 3D?
3D is the main hope for the film industry at the moment, and, if rumours are true, they are about to get a leg-up from Apple, who are preparing to make the iPad 3 a 3D-compatible device.
According to RCRWireless, Apple are gearing up to make the iPad 3 fully 3D, sending Hollywood into a whooping frenzy of joy. “The fact that the iPad 3 is 3D is a dead cert,” RCR quoted a Hollywood source, prompting speculations that we might see a lot more 3D films being made over the next few years. With mobile computing devices increasingly replacing TV and cinema screens as the main medium for film consumption, studios might want to tailor their output to new tablets such as the Apple iPad 3.
Apparently Foxconn, the Apple manufacturer in Taiwan, has fuelled the 3D rumours as well, dropping hints to various industry sources. Commentators and users are currently crossing their fingers the iPad 3 will get rid of those aesthetically highly questionable 3D glasses.
