Asus announce ultra-slim U46 notebook
Asus have announced the arrival of the U46 notebook, which stocks the second generation intel Core processors we’ve all been raving about for months. It is readily portable at just an inch thick, has a spacious 14 inch screen and supports wide-angle viewing with its hinge-forward design. In true Asus style, it is wrapped up nicely in a spun aluminium chassis and champagne coloured metals that are more than easy on the eye.
At a recommended retail price of £699 this is a sensibly priced laptop, but still a serious investment in computing quality. If you need to carry your computer around have an eye for design then give some serious consideration to ASUS’s U46 model.
The major features of the ASUS U46 include USB 3.0 ports which implement ASUS’ USB Charger+, which is a faster way to restore power to accessories such as smartphones. USB 3.0 ports also boast 10x faster data transfer then the previous generation. With the power-savvy second generation i5 Core processor, the ASUS U46 notebook can retain battery power for up to 10 hours, which is mighty convenient for use on the road.
You will also find in this slimline package 1 GB of GDDR3 video memory to compliment the NVIDIA GeForce GT450M GPU. To further enhance processing power, you can customise to up to 8 Gb RAM and a hefty 500 Gb memory.
