The ASUS U36 has been released on the UK market, at a price of around £699 with VAT. This is truly a steal for one of the most powerful ultraportables available on the market. The U36 harnesses an Intel i5 core and is only 19mm thick. ASUS have crafted one of the best portable computing devices we have seen – this system has a durable Magnesium alloy so the svelte look is contrasted by the strong feel of the U36.

The ASUS U36’s nano coating will keep it clear of smudges and other signs of travel and use, and the light metallic grey lends this laptop a professional yet stylish look for confident use in public. The ASUS Hybrid Engine makes the U36 a very energy-efficient machine. Combined with the Optimus technology graphics capacity can automatically power up or down depending on what applications you’re running. You’ll also be able to toggle between USB 3.0 and 2.0, since the latter is still in common use.

The U36 comes with a top notch specs, including up to 500 Gb storage, NVIDIA GPU and up to an 8-cell battery for over 10 hours use between charges.
