Dell to hire more staff for UK offices
Dell are growing its UK presence and are looking to take on more staff in the coming quarter, according to a spokesperson.
After having hired 100 staff in the first quarter of 2011, Dell are looking to hire 800 more staff across the Europe, Middle East and Africa sector (EMEA), including staff for its UK offices.
Stephen Murdoch, vice-president and general manager of EMEA large enterprise at Dell, said: “We are open for business for the best talent in the industry, particularly in enterprise services and solutions. Our hiring plan reflects confidence in our strategy and our desire to hire staff to meet the growing demand we see from our customers in the region.”
An important area for recruitment, according to Murdoch, is hybrid cloud building. Dell are investing $1bn (£0.6bn) in cloud computing, including UK-based datacentres.
