SAP and Dell expand cloud computing collaboration
German software corporation SAP and Dell today announced the expansion of their ong-standing relationship that will deliver new cloud and in-memory computing offerings to help organisations transform their businesses.
According to a statement put out on behalf of the companies, SAP applications will be available for businesses via Dell’s VIS Next Generation Datacentre Platform. This will allow customers to increase their ability to respond to IT concerns and raise business efficiency.
SAP’s business software applications being made available via Dell’s data cloud solutions will bring together the former’s expertise in providing businesses with up-to-date software products and the latter’s special knowledge of cloud services. “The ability to run SAP applications on Dell cloud solutions can help customers increase resiliency, performance and efficiencies of scale without the overhead of traditional IT environments”, the statement read.
