The five worst technology-related pieces of body art
Late last week, this monstrosity of a tribute to the late Steve Jobs, co-founder of Apple and technology icon made the rounds on the internet. Fair enough, the guy revolutionised the computer, music and film industry, but this is taking it a bit too far. It looks like a cross between Ernest Hemingway, Ghandi and 2Pac, and having someone else’s face on your head kind of contradicts the message to “think different” [sic].
Anyway, there are plenty of other equally tasteless manifestations of people’s love for technology out there, and PC Site has put together a little gallery that you might use as a guide of what not to do to your bodies.

Why doesn’t it surprise us that a lot of tasteless tech tattoos relate to Apple products? Again, getting a huge corporate logo tattooed on your arm doesn’t exactly scream “I’m an individual who likes to think for him/herself”, does it? Someone punch that person in the arm and see if they shut up.

Despite making great laptops, Dell aren’t exactly known to inspire huge brand loyalty. Or are they? Someone clearly likes their brand of hardware enough to pay them tribute with a huge tat on their leg, complete with the garish blue tone and “quirky” ‘e’ in the middle. Full marks for commitment.

Maybe it’s just us, but we’ve had too many occasions where we wanted to throw our PC against a wall/out of a window/into a tank of corrosive acid to be able to imagine why you’d want a Windows logo anywhere on your body, let alone explain such body art to someone in a moment of intimacy.

An interesting take on the classic ‘straight edge’ tattoo, this one, and about another tech brand that we wouldn’t have thought would inspire such passion in people. To be fair, Photoshop is pretty awesome, and at least this person kept the size at defendable levels (i.e. very small).

Zero sympathy here. If you are the kind of guy (and this can only be a guy) that thinks expressing the history of a bloody game console via a tattoo on your own body is a good idea, then you deserve to have girls laughing at you at every beach you ever visit. Although we somehow don’t imagine this guy has even seen a beach in real life.
