Lenovo has released three new slick LCD wide screens
Rosie Khdir uncovers Lenovo’s latest trio of high-resolution, wide, LCD monitors, including a seamless 23 inch multitouch display.
The secret is out – Lenovo’s latest, and arguably greatest monitors have been revealed. On the menu are three wide, sleek and impressive looking screens, one of which has multitouch capabilities.
The Lenovo L2261 Wide
This display has a more standard design compared to its sisters: its 21.5 inch LCD screen is mounted upon a sturdy silver neck. The glossy screen itself beholds a rather stunning 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution picture considering its size.
It can be connected to most laptops and desktops via VGA and DVI inputs but disappointingly has no HDMI. However, it is simple yet stylish and unobtrusive, so if you are a fan of the “less is more” way of thinking then the L2261 may be just the monitor for you.
The Lenovo L2361P Wide
The L2361P steps up the game with a 23 inch LCD screen, a webcam, integrated microphone and speakers, three USB 2.0 ports and HDMI input.
To top it all off the monitor is very nicely designed, looking more like a HD TV than a computer screen. This monitor waves goodbye to the conventional “push” button and has replaced the off/on/setting controls with touch buttons instead.
The Lenovo L2461X Wide – the one with multitouch
The favourite of the three is definitely this 23.6 inch beauty. The L2461X is the widest of the side displays and is very on trend with its multitouch capabilities.
It also comes with a 2 megapixel webcam, four USB ports, speakers, a microphone and the same capacitive buttons found on the L2361P.
Being green…
All the monitors are Energy Star 5.0 rated and WEEE and RoHS certified, making them powerful but energy efficient. They are also made without harmful chemicals, such as mercury, and packaging is said to be minimal and mostly recyclable.
No news yet as to prices and release dates in the UK.
