Lenovo S1 IdeaPad to be released this spring
Along with 3D gaming technology, tablets were the talk of this week’s Gadget Show Live at Birmingham’s NEC. Among the new tablet products was a very sneak preview of the new Lenovo S1 Idea Pad, a tablet posing as a miniature business tool which is due for release in the UK this month.
The Lenovo S1 Idea Pad is a 10inch tablet mainly aimed at the mobile businessperson. Coming in either silver or funky orange, the Idea Pad is a multi-touch tablet that comes with an optional stylus pen.
The latter makes for more convenient data entry, especially for people not used to typing on multitouch screens. There will also be a keyboard option that can be plugged into the tablet, turning the Lenovo S1 Idea Pad into a netbook.
It will run on Windows 7, an operating system most users will be familiar with, and have storage options of either 8, 16 or 32Gb and 2Gb RAM.
There was no demo model of the Lenovo S1 Idea Pad available, since it had come out of the factory only a few days earlier, but a Lenovo representative told us to wait for an official announcement as to UK release date and retail price within a few weeks.
