Microsoft start the build up to Windows 8
In a bid to put Vista well and truly behind its OS development, computer giant Microsoft has begun the long march to the launch of Microsoft Windows 8. You can expect a similar launch to Windows 7, and beta testing is probably likely to be drawn out so that the product can be as well tuned as… well Windows 7.
Microsoft have announced that this OS will be the biggest overhaul since Windows 95. This means it will be quite a large project, and Microsoft are playing their cards close to their chest regarding the new features of Windows 8.
With the prevalence of tablets on the market it should be safe to assume there’ll be some compatibility between formats. We can’t really say much more than that but expect new information soon. Microsoft have launched a blog to begin the discussion in which Steven Sinofsky outline Microsoft’s tentative approach to the launch.
