Sony enter 3D laptop market with Vaio F 3D
3D has been the talk of the technology circuit for what feels like forever, but the 3D laptop market welcoms a new competitor this week with the Sony Vaio F 3D.

After being talked about for weeks, the Sony Vaio F 3D laptop is available for pre-order right now. What got computer fans so excited is the Vaio F’s 3D technology. The laptop comes with a pair of active shutter glasses which are necessary to enjoy the maximum viewing pleasure (without them, you’d most likely need a rest in a darkened room).
As Sony’s flagship entertainment laptop, it makes sense for the Vaio F 3D to be powered well – and it is, namely by the Intel Core i7-2720QM. There is also a Blu-ray disc drive, which is good news for anyone who wants to experience films like The Dark Knight in its full glory.
The Sony Vaio F 3D can be used in 2D mode as well – just push the appropriate button. At around £1800, it’s anything but a snip, and we’re curious whether it can justify the hefty price tag.
The Sony Vaio F 3D will be officially launched on March 25 and will be available to buy from then on.
