Acer Aspire 5750G review

This is a typically Acer machine, we don’t mean that as a bad thing, the 5750 series mainly differs in terms of core components. They have an almost identical physical body which has smooth clean lines but does very little to draw the eye, if a flashy model is what you are after then the Acer Aspire 5750G is not, perhaps, the laptop for you.

What we like best

In terms of specifications this laptop is pretty well stacked. You get a more than comfortable level of memory with 640 Gb and 6 Gb which will allow you to multitask or run a powerful application without too much difficulty. The Acer Aspirew 5750G comes with Intel’s powerful i7 SandyBridge processor. With this core your laptop will conserve power to keep you going longer but also run HD media without any trouble either.

The Acer Aspire 5750G would be well suited as an entertainment laptop. It has an nVidia GeForce GT540M graphics card which will let you run highly demanding games.
The Acer FineTip keyboard is comfortable to work on with a sizable wrist rest so working late with it on a desk will not strain the wrist. You can quickly get in to the stream of touch typing with this laptop which is designed for you to power through with your work.

What we like least

We found this laptop ticked all the boxes of an all-rounder, which makes it very difficult to criticise. It passes the bench on every test you could easily find a laptop with a superior screen or memory size but those laptops will let you down in other areas where this one won’t.
