Asus A53E review

Asus are really upping their production output. With Ultrabook releases casting a shadow over the notebook market, granted a thin one but a shadow nevertheless, top quality machines like the Asus A53E could easily be overlooked, but let us stress, the A53E is well worth consideration!

What we like best

The Asus A53E laptop is priced in the mid range so let us allay your fears of any of the common doubts you get with lesser machines. Such as, poor processing, weak and tinny speakers, a less than satisfactory memory and weak in the special feature departments, there’s none of that here.

We seem to be saying this a lot but with a second generation Intel processor you really have all the computing umph that you might desire, the model available here comes with an i3 Processor which would work best for a serious domestic laptop. It would function fine in a professional capacity but you might want to kick it up a notch to an i5 or i7 for hassle free work flow. For home use the Asus A53E laptop could be put to very good use as an entertainment machine, the 15.6 inch screen has good viewing angles so film watching or gaming would be a cinch with this machine.

What we like least

If you are going to shell out for a mid range laptop you might want to look for one with a USB 3.0 port, a connection like this is invaluable for a professional machine but the 3.0 is growing a fast following but you’re ok with a 2.0 for the time being. As a personal preference I normally steer clear of fire engine red laptops, just a bit harsh on the ole peepers.
