What we like best
One of our favourite features has to be Step-by-Step, this tool will be invaluable to the first time user, those of you looking out for a rendering software to kick start your movie making should definitely give this one a try. Corel VideoStudio Pro X4 will take you right through the process of editing movies and give you very fast results.
The updated software now introduces 3D movie making capabilities from your home computer, this brings with it a complete video-editing toolset, allowing you to put in special effects to really give your video a professional and/or quirky touch.
What we like least
There is still a few things missing that are available on alternative video editing suites, such as the ability to make decent looking credits. We also ran in to a bit of trouble burning the DVDs, which can be quite frustrating when ill-defined errors crop up, with no solution in sight other than to try the same thing again.
This is definitely one of the premium video editing suites available. If your current equipment is tried and true, it will of course take a bit of time to get used to the new one. But the requirements of Corel’s VideoStudio Pro X4 are minimal, so there’s no need to upgrade your PC, and Corel’s new VideoStudio covers most of the bases for the majority of your video editing requirements.
