"The design adopted for the Dell Vostro 330 is slightly similar to the Dell Inspiron One 2305."
Karim Beerahee
The Dell Vostro 330 all-in-one desktop is the improved and extended version of the 320 – or is it? PC-Site takes a look.
What we like best
The design adopted for the Dell Vostro 330 is slightly similar to the Dell Inspiron One 2305, which takes its cue from the currently “in” round edges, matt dark tones and wireless extensions. The 330 is equally slick, with minimalistic yet strong aluminium legs for the 23 inch display and a matt, business-like black rim.
Speaking of business: the Dell Vostro 330 is definitely tailored more for office use rather than consumers. One sign of that is the rather gasp-inducing price tag
(it is, however, among the cheaper models in the business all-in-one market). There’s no nonsensical trialware installed, but there is the state-of-the art Trend Micro security software – with a business computer, you want to be sure your work is safe, and this is a good step towards peace of mind.
The rear cover can be easily removed, presumably to make repairs on site easier, should they be needed. Users can choose between non-touch-screen and touch-screen models, and between second generation Intel Core i3 or i5 processors. No matter which the user ends up going for, these processors have all the horsepower necessary to ensure a smooth workflow (although, if you’re planning to use the Vostro 330 strictly in a work environment, the touch-screen is slightly superfluous).
There is a 2MP webcam for video calls, a 7-in-1 card reader and six USB ports.
What we like least
Considering that the Dell Vostro 330 is so impressive in most computing areas, the lack of a VESA mount is surprising to say the least. The 320 came with one, and many businesses would have been happy to benefit from the same feature this time around.
The Full HD, LED-backlit display produces some good, but not quite great, graphics – the integrated Intel graphics card has its limits when it comes to films or gaming, so an upgrade might be in order for those who insist on crystal-clear visuals.
The Dell Vostro 330 is, overall, a very good business computer. It will let users get on with what they need to do, and offers potential upgrades for those who also want to be able to do what they want to do (i.e. play games or watch films). It looks and does the business, in short.

The Dell Vostro 330 is another link in Dell’s chain of exquisitely designed business computers. It features wireless keyboard and mouse and a pleasantly big and sharp 23 inch screen. Its matt dark colours are far removed from other more extravagant desktops, but the Dell Vostro 330′s subtle looks make it a good fit for anyone’s home office.
Users have the choice between two of Intel’s 2nd generation processors, the i3 and the i5, and all main ports are covered.
Dell Vostro 330 all-in-one

The Dell Vostro 330 is definitely aimed more at the business user rather than, say, gamers or students, but there is enough scope for upgrades so that some gaming will be supported.
