Dell’s all in one machines face fierce competition, the Inspiron 2320 is one of the slenderest yet. It’s a definite step up from the Inspiron One 2310 which is almost stocky in comparison. Dell have definitely stepped up with the specs for the new Dell Inspiron 2320 which has a processing speed of 3.30GHz, not bad huh?
What we like best
The Inspiron 2320s spacious 23 inch screen will have you impressed from the offset. The Inspiron line is a family computer range, the large screen makes shared viewing possible you can also mount it on to the wall like a widescreen. With the option of Blu-ray as well as a tv-tuner and 1080p visuals this could easily replace your television or at least work as a second set in the bedroom or office.
We like that it’s wall mountable giving you the chance to quickly access your computer whilst standing with a cup of tea in your hand first thing in the morning to peruse your schedule, check the weather news or your email.
The Dell Inspiron 2320 is quite a looker too, the slim build helps, and let us all breathe a collective sigh of relief at the mostly wire free design -no more will our lives be wasted untangling cables.
The 2320 comes with 6 Gb RAM and up to 1Tb hard drive storage, these whopping specs are necessary to run the multi-touch capacity on such a large screen. It is a swift running computer but beware of the pre-installed bloatware slowing you down. Remember just because it’s already installed on the system doesn’t necessarily mean you need it, but take caution before deleting.
What we like least
The issue that was picked up in the 2310 review still hasn’t been rectified. The Dell Inspiron 2320’s speakers are certainly satisfactory but don’t expect much more than that. The trouble with inbuilt speakers is that they’re all terrible, so if you want to make the most out of the 2320 as an entertainment system you might need to shell out a bit for a decent sound system that is if you don’t have one already.
Overall we really like the Dell Inspiron 2320 it has all that you could ask for in a family PC and its fun to use too. This computer is priced very well, you couldn’t find a much better system costing under £1000 and the 2320 fits the bill for a home PC a little too well for you need to look elsewhere.
