"This computer will make an excellent addition to your home; it has a classier look then its competitors so it’s equally suitable for the office."
Karim Beerahee
The Inspiron line makes high tech computers available at an affordable price, so it’s great to see an All-in-One in the mix. With touchscreen technology really kicking off through the tablet market, desktop All-In-Ones are still somewhat of a novelty, but with the 2310 you get a cool looking machine, that’s powerful and versatile, PC-site takes a look…
What we like best
As you might expect the screen is the most important part of any All-In-One, in fact it’s the only major part since you can do away with both mouse and keyboard. The Dell Inspiron 2310 will keep your desk clear of wires with plenty of USB ports for infra red accessories to manage your typing, if you just don’t feel like taking advantage of the touchscreen.
The backlit 23 inch screen is spacious and clear; it is capable of supporting HD video which can easily be processed with the 2310’s fully upgradable spec. The default specifications will still be enough for you to make the most of this All-In-One’s capabilities. It will also keep the cost low so you can pick and choose which features you need working within your prescribed budget.
The ‘do it yourself’ possibility to upgrade your system after buying is testament to Dell’s design team, remove a couple of screws and you can easily upgrade memory or processor and make improvements as you see fit.
The melding of the Windows 7 operating system and touchscreen technology is seamless, you’ll find a computer like the 2310 much more interactive and fun to use.
This computer will make an excellent addition to your home; it has a classier look then its competitors so it’s equally suitable for the office. The 2310 is viable to assist in your work and then transform in to a cool screen for gaming or movie watching.
What we like least
There is a lot of competition in the market for All-In-Ones, for example Dell also has the Vostro 320 touchscreen available. This may be an earlier design of All-In-One, but it undercuts the 2310 by a reasonable amount in price, and you’d only be sacrificing about 4 inches of screen.
You’ll also find that the Dell Inspiron 2310 has a pretty unimpressive sound quality. It would be nice for a computer that is all screen, and that comes with a TV tuner, to get a deserving speaker system as standard.
This is a very respectable addition to the All-In-One line, Dell provide clear visuals on an economical system. It runs quietly, works excellently, and looks great. A definite top contender for best in breed.
