"The HP 8440p is designed for high-end use, from the strong design structure to the inner workings this EliteBook is no-nonsense, highly efficient and dependable."

HP’s EliteBook Professional Series is a line of ‘business notebooks’ that have kept an individual style, setting them apart from ThinkPad’s rather plain look.
The 8440p manages an eye-catching design that is the ideal mix of sleek and understated.
HP has created a laptop that will remain top of the line for the next few years. It is also resilient enough to not only survive the stresses of day-today travel, but manage to keep a pristine professional look as well.
What we like best
The HP 8440p is designed for high-end use, from the strong design structure to the inner workings, this EliteBook is no-nonsense, high efficient and dependable.
It comes stocked with Intel’s highly acclaimed i5 processor and this can even be heightened by installing the i7 which will enable even greater power.
The graphic chipset is also customisable; users can choose between Intel’s integrated graphics and the NVIDIA NVS 3100, which depending upon your graphical needs will provide greater or lesser simulation possibilities.
It has a business class keyboard and fingerprint scanner for added security. The keyboard has an inbuilt drain to siphon off spillages, which is an excellent feature if you intend to use it while travelling. There is also a snap out LED lamp to help guide your hand over the keyboard in low lighting.
What we like least
The battery power is little more then average but this is to be expected with a powerfully built machine such as this.
Around 3 hours work is achievable on a single charge, so for the long commute this notebook may not be enough. An extended battery is available to provide assistance in such circumstances.
For travel it is merely satisfactory, the 2.1 Kg sets it far out of the ultraportable category; though it is not too much of a burden you may have a little difficulty using it on a train journey for example.
The 8440p is an executive class laptop for functionality, reliability and durability it cannot be beaten. The system is of military standard and is capable of withstanding impact, vibration and high temperatures. The brushed aluminium casing will withstand the markings of frequent use, keeping the system unharmed and allowing elegant professional look to be maintained.

HP EliteBook 2540p is part of the EliteBook P-series, Hewlett Packard’s ‘Professional’ line the difference between these laptops and the W-series is that these are no mere workhorses, they have power certainly but there’s so much more here.. The HP EliteBook 2540p is the storage heavy member of the family, since these are highly portable machines it also comes in a lighter shade of aluminium brushed metal.
HP EliteBook 2540p

HP EliteBook 2540p is really a roving businessman machine, to project an err of class, wealth and sophistication you may prefer to opt out from the traditional matte black laptops and what better way than a swish looking HP EliteBook 2540p.
For mobile purposes as well as office use we found the HP EliteBook 2540p to be a highly capable system, the Intel i7 core can pretty much chew through everything we had to throw at it.
