What we like best
The core maybe just Kaspersky Internet Security but it’s a good core, with great detection rates and a tough firewall to keep out all flavours of malware.
There’s a tight focus on privacy; there’s password manager, to keep all your login details secure, and you can even encrypt a USB so you can take all your login details with you.
Crucially there’s also a File Shredder function to properly overwrite and destroy unwanted documents.
Sandboxing allows you to run suspicious programs in a safe enclosed environment.
What we like least
Kaspersky PURE has an unusually complicated user interface. We say unusually because Kaspersky normally keep the UI simple and direct.
With PURE however, it is a double-edged sword; more tech users will enjoy the greater scope to tinker, but labyrinthine sub menus make it tricky for the novice
The majority of the parental controls Kaspersky have bundled with PURE are already within Windows 7, but it’s nice to have everything with in the one program.
Kaspersky PURE is a good all-in-one security solution that allows you to set and fine tune protection from malware, guard your privacy and ensure your kids can browse safely.
