"With its bigger form factor the 15 inch Edge crams in more features and a phenomenal battery life than the 13 inch edge, for only a small increase in price and weight."

The Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 15 inch laptop aims to be a worthy business laptop, with a little bit of extra styling and appeal than the traditional black boxes.
Updated with the latest AMD Phenom II processors, the X3 Triple-Core P820, makes the Edge a fast and powerful machine and can handle running demanding software like Adobe CS5, especially with an optional 4 Gb of fast (1067 MHz) RAM.
What we like best
Despite the new paint job the Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 15 inch laptop is still first and foremost a business laptop. The new processors are a real treat but without a good working experience it’s useless as a business laptop. Happily the Edge doesn’t disappoint: the classic ThinkPad raised keyboard with individual keys is a joy to type on and the touch pad and touchstick are responsive.
The battery lfe was also impressive notching up just over four hours, which for a powerful 15 inch laptop is good. We were also impressed with the 15.6 inch HD screen which was clear and visible in most lights.
There’s even an optional fingerprint reader for those whose work is a little bit more confidential than most.
What we like least
The Fn and Ctrl keys on the Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 15 inch laptop have been swapped round. It’s not a problem, just bit of an annoyance for those used to using keyboard shortcuts and it is struggle to work out why Lenovo have done it. If it’s not broke etc.
The body of the Edge is pretty sturdy, although the screen does flex worryingly easily, meaning it probably won’t take too much punishment.
The 320 Gb, 5400RPM hard drive comes as standard, which while adequate does seem a little bit small. It’s easily upgraded to the 500 Gb, 7200RPM hard drive however for around £35.
The Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 15 inch laptop does away with the problems of the smaller model, and unleashes a powerful business laptop easily capable of media playback, editing and running Office or similar.
With its bigger form factor the 15 inch Edge crams in more features and a phenomenal battery life than the 13 inch edge, for only a small increase in price and weight.
For any business people needing a powerful notebook with a good battery life this is a real contender, you just have to choose between an Intel Core i5 model or one with an AMD Phenom II.
