Toshiba NB500-10F review

If you need a netbook that looks good, performs well and actually has a decent battery life, look no further, because PC Site has discovered the Toshiba NB305-N410WH.

This 10.1 inch laptop has a new sleek design and makes for the perfect travelling companion – not only it is small and compact, it is powerful and has the endurance of a camel!

Toshiba says that this netbook has a battery that lasts up to 11 hours, and we all know this is usually during light use. This little beast does actually last up to 6 hours during heavy use thanks to its 6 cell Li-Ion, which is better than most netbooks on the market.

It comes with a netbook standard Intel® Atom™ Processor N450, an Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 3150, 250Gb hard drive and 1Gb DDR2 memory. It also has a full-sized keyboard, a luxury not often afforded to netbooks.

The NB305-N410WH is made even better by its little features, such as the USB Sleep-and-charge technology which allows you to charge your other portable electronics even when the netbook is asleep or turned off.

It also has a multi-touch trackpad, a memory card reader, a PC Health Monitor that alerts you to issues before they become problems and a Hard Drive Impact Sensor that helps protect your hard drive from daily bumps and shocks.

The screen is an LED backlit display with a disappointing 1024 x 600 pixel resolution, but with a netbook this packed with features, small sacrifices must be made somewhere.
