Toshiba Satellite P500-ST5807 Laptop Review

Thu, Jul 22, 2010

The Satellite P500-ST5807 is an ideal desktop replacement with all the power you need for work or play.

It comes with an Intel® Core™ i7-720QM processor, NVIDIA® GeForce® 310M, 320Gb Hard drive (7200rpm) and 4Gb DR3 1066MHz memory – yes, it means business.

This laptop is at the higher end of the price scale, starting at around £700, but boy is it worth it! The Satellite P500-ST5807 is packed with features that make the user experience smooth and enjoyable.

It comes with Toshiba’s unique USB Sleep-and-Charge technology that lets you power up your portable electronics, even when your Toshiba is asleep or off, a webcam with face recognition software and Hard Drive Impact Sensor that protects your hard drive in the event of a drop or sudden movement.

It also has Dolby Surround Sound Audio, Harman Kardon stereo speakers, a TouchPad with multi-touch, PC Health Monitor, a back lit keyboard and a 10-key numeric pad.

In terms of battery, the rechargeable 12-Cell battery allows you to stay connected much longer while on the go.

To top it all off, this model has been awarded the EPEAT™ Gold ranking and meets the ENERGY STAR 4.0 standard. What more could you want than a powerful laptop with energy efficient status!
